BlueConic Integration ​

Connect your BlueConic account to VWAM so your assistant can read and update customer profile properties, then choose which of those properties it uses in conversations.

Before you start ​

  • You need a VWAM account and access to at least one organization.
  • The connection is started from BlueConic. If you don't have a connection link yet, request one from BlueConic. Verifyrequest a new connection link from BlueConic

Connect your BlueConic account ​

  1. Open the connection link from BlueConic. It takes you to the Connect BlueConic screen in VWAM. Screenshotthe "Connect BlueConic" screen
  2. If you aren't already signed in, click Sign in and log in to your VWAM account. You'll return to the connection screen automatically.
  3. If you have more than one organization, the Choose an organization screen appears. Search for the organization you want, select it, then click Connect followed by that organization's name.   4. If you have only one organization, VWAM connects it automatically.
  5. When the connection succeeds, you'll see You're all set. Click Continue to Profile Properties to start mapping properties.

If the link says it's invalid or expired, request a new connection link from BlueConic and try again.

Map and manage profile properties ​

Once connected, the Profile Properties page lists the properties VWAM is set up to use. Each row shows the property's Name, its Values, how often it has Appeared in conversations, and whether Auto-generated values is on.

To find a specific property, use the Search properties... box at the top of the page. It filters the list by name as you type. (This is separate from the organization search you used while connecting.)

To sort the list, click any of the column headers — Name, Values, Appeared in, or Auto-generated values. Click the same header again to reverse the order.

To add a property:

  1. Click Create Profile Property.

  2. Enter a Name (required) — for example, "Skin Type".

  3. Add Values by typing each one and pressing Enter, or paste several separated by commas.

  4. Optionally add a Description.

  5. Turn on Auto-generate values to let VWAM suggest values for you.

  6. Under Usage, choose how the property is used:

    • Capture — extract this from conversations and sync it back to BlueConic.
    • Welcome — personalize the welcome message.
    • Recommendations — personalize product recommendations.

  7. Click Create.

To change a property, open the menu at the end of its row and choose Edit. To remove it, choose Delete and confirm.

You can also toggle Auto-generated values directly from a property's row.

Tip: personalize with identity fields ​

At the top of the page, turn on Personalize with identity fields to always use a visitor's name, email, and phone to personalize chat, even when those properties aren't mapped in the list. Screenshotthe "Personalize with identity fields" toggle at the top of the Profile Properties page
